The Rape Victim Advocacy Program (RVAP) is a sexual assault crisis center based in Iowa City, Iowa. Find Us RVAP provides crisis line support, counseling, advocacy, and education services to the citizens of the following areas in Iowa:
The Iowa Sexual Abuse Hotline is available 24 hours a day as a resource to the entire state of Iowa, and operates out of the Rape Victim Advocacy Program.
Mission Statement
The Rape Victim Advocacy Program (RVAP) provides confidential, accessible support and advocacy to victim/survivors of sexual abuse and their partners, friends, and family members; and works to create a community free from sexual violence by providing education and prevention strategies and by promoting social change.
Find Us
The Rape Victim Advocacy Program is located near downtown Iowa City on South Linn Street. The office is open Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm. While counselors may be available to meet with a walk-in, setting up an appointment ahead of time by calling 319.335.6000 or 1.800.228.1625 will better ensure a counselor's availability.
