Rape Victim Advocacy Program

The Rape Victim Advocacy Program seeks Accountant to coordinate and perform financial activities and provide administrative support. Basic functions include grant management, financial monitoring and reporting, assisting with agency projects and supervision of clerical staff. This position is permanent part-time (60% FTE) with University of Iowa benefit package.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience; 6 months – 1 year accounting experience preferably with general ledger, financial statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable; excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines; experience working with minimal supervision/guidance; proficient in computer software applications such as Microsoft Office Products.
Desired qualifications: 3-5 years accounting experience including general ledger, financial statements, accounts payable and accounts receivable highly desirable; experience with grant accounting, grant writing and developing budgets; knowledge of University of Iowa policies, procedures and regulations; proficient in software applications for accounting and donations (i.e. QuickBooks Pro and Gift Works); expertise in editing written documents.
