Web Designer: Char Bachman

Charmaine Bachman is the founder of the Studio of Char Bachman, an Iowa City, Iowa, graphic design firm that specializes in corporate communications assignments. Projects include highly customized web sites, interactive CD-ROMs, interactive presentations, and corporate identification redesign and evaluation.

Prior to founding the Studio of Char Bachman in 2004, Ms. Bachman was the co-founder of Lucidity Lab Inc., where she worked primarily as an interactive media designer, and creative director. Previously, Bachman worked for the Iowa City design firm of Benson & Hepker, the Cedar Rapids, Iowa, higher education advertising firm of Stamats Communications, and the Lombard, Illinois firm of Telesis Design Group.

Bachman's marketing communications experience covers a range from consumer expendable to non-profit organizations, with particular strong expertise in small business communications.

Bachman's work has been featured in Yahoo! Internet Life magazine, has been exhibited regionally and nationally, and has won many awards for unique design creations.

Char Bachman is a 1999 graduate of the University of Iowa School of Design in Iowa City, Iowa. She is currently organizing a digital story project that will focus on the culture of the Iowa City community.

She is married, has two dogs, and resides in the heart of Iowa City.
